In 2015-2016 13th Motherwell Boys' Brigade Company celebrated its centenary. This significant milestone was marked throughout the year by a number of events involving boys from all sections and many previous members too.
The celebrations started with an activity-packed launch night at Dalziel High School involving races, inflatables, gaming stations and a quiz. Our centenary was officially marked in November 2015 with a dinner on Saturday night for current officers and senior boys as well as many others who had been members of the company in the past. On the Sunday, there followed a dedication service where current boys and 'old boys' paraded from the Duchess Park to the church accompanied by a pipe band. Our Centenary Fun Day took place a few months later. Boys and officers from all three sections boarded buses to Carronvale House - the BB Scotland Headquarters. On arriving they enjoyed a day full of varied events - human-table football, laser tag, bungee runs, inflatable assault course and many more. The celebrations were rounded off with special centenary camps for the Junior and Company Sections.
All in all a memorable year. See our short video summary of all the events here: https://youtu.be/4Fzuw_n5mvs
