At the morning service on Remembrance Sunday we will re-dedicate our newly refurbished Church War Memorial. This re-dedication will involve each name on the Memorial being read out. We are keen to contact any relatives of those named on the Memorial in order to extend a warm invitation to attend this special service. The names on the Memorial are listed below. An image of the notice of the original dedication is also shown below.
If you know the details of any relatives of those listed, please contact the Minister. Contact details can be found here: https://www.stmarysmotherwell.org.uk/contact-us
This year we will also have an evening service on Remembrance Sunday. The evening service, which begins at 6:30pm, will contain a selection of readings and musical items - from the Church Choir and Inbetweeners - on the subject of War and Peace. After the service, refreshments will be served in the Church Hall.
If you have any First World War memorabilia which could be displayed in the hall and which you would be happy to lend to the Church, please contact the Minister.
Everyone is most welcome at our morning and evening Remembrance services.
