For 2020, St Mary's Summer Club is moving online. The theme this year is 'Still Together While Apart'. Every day we'll be posting a special message from Rev Calder along with details of crafts, activities and challenges for everyone to get involved in. To join in, follow us on twitter or Facebook or check this page on our website. From Monday 20th to Friday 24th July, between 9:30-10am, we'll be posting details of the activities for the day.

Friday 24th July

It's the last day of Summer Club. Today's theme is 'looking back with Love and looking forward with Hope and Faith' (Corinthians 13:1-13).  

Here are today’s activities:

  1. Make a poster or video describing one of your favourite memories of lockdown
  2. Make a butterfly to show hope for the future

Thursday 23rd July

Welcome to Thursday's Summer Club. Today we celebrate our church family - we remember that younger or older we are all part of God's family and the family of St Mary's (Corinthians 12:17-20).

Here are today’s activities:

  1. Make a colourful stained glass window
  2. Tie a coloured ribbon on to the gates at the front door of St. Mary’s
  3. Decorate an old T-shirt or use a template to create a T-shirt design

Wednesday 22nd July

Wednesday. Today's theme is 'our family' - we thank God for our families who love and take care of us (Luke 2:1-7). 

Here are today’s activities:

  1. Create your own family tree – how far back in history can you go?
  2. Take a family selfie
  3. Play a family board game or take part in an outdoor activity with your family

Tuesday 21st July

Welcome to Tuesday's Summer Club. Today's theme is 'friends' - we all need good friends just as Jesus needed his disciples (Matthew 4:18-22). 

Here are today’s activities:
 
  1. Make a friendship bracelet using beads, pasta, wool or seeds
  2. Have a Teddy Bears’ Picnic (inside if it’s too rainy!)
  3. Send a letter, picture, card, text or email to a friend you haven’t seen for a while – tell them about the Summer Club!

Monday 20th July

Welcome to Monday's Summer Club. Today's theme is 'names' - God knows all of our names (Isiah 43:1).
Here are today’s activities:

  1. Make a poster of your name using pens, paint or collage materials
  2. Shape your name as a 3D image using objects like Lego, playdough, toys or household objects
  3. Learn British Sign Language for your name and sign it – find links on YouTube
