The children of the Junior Church paraded into church, all wearing red and carrying Christian Aid balloons and name flags. These were displayed at the front of the church.
After a warm welcome from Rev Robert Kent, three members of the CAST group, Abby McLaughlin, Sophie Steeds and Molly Shearer, presented to the congregation a summary of the many events happening to support this very worthy cause. The CAST team are the Christian Aid Support Team. Working alongside Hazel Graham and Margaret McGregor, it is made up from our p7 to S5 young people.On Sunday following the service they had arranged a special lunch and raised almost £400!
They went on to explain about the messy day planned for our younger children on the 17th May and reminded everyone of the door-to-door collections taking place over the coming week. The girls also sent good wishes to Mr Bill Taylor who would be taking part in the Long March.
